Tragic Loss - Corporal Brendan Hannam.

It is with deep sadness that we learnt of the passing of Corporal Brendan Hannam, who lost his life during a training exercise at the Mount Bundey Training Area south-east of Darwin.

At just 28 years of age, Brendan's life was cut tragically short in service to his nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the five other soldiers injured in the incident, particularly the two who remain in critical condition. We wish them strength, healing, and a full recovery.

Most of all, our hearts go out to Brendan's family. He leaves behind a devoted partner and two young children who will now face an unimaginable loss. No words can ease their grief, but we hope they find comfort in knowing that Brendan's service, sacrifice, and memory will not be forgotten.

Rest mate, never forgotten.

Lest we forget.
