The Story - Sapper Rowan Jaie Robinson

Published on June 8, 2026

This week marks 15 years since the loss of Sapper Rowan Robinson, who was killed on 6 June 2011 during an overnight operation targeting a significant cache of weapons in northern Helmand Province.

His death is a reminder of the constant dangers faced by our Special Forces personnel while serving on operations.

We honour this courageous Australian who paid the ultimate price for our country, and we remember the family and friends he left behind. The video included in this post is a reminder of the wonderful individual who gave his life. We remember him not just for how he died, but for who he was, and the life he lived before that moment.

Lest we Forget
